1. What is an Xbox 360?
The Xbox 360 is a video game console created by Microsoft. A new Xbox 360 comes with one wireless controller and most of the newest versions come with a game or two. A new Xbox 360 can be purchased with various amounts of memory (4gb, 250gb, and 500gb). Consumers can also purchase different themed or colored "skins" for the Xbox 360. The newest versions of the Xbox 360 come with built in wifi which means they can connect to the internet wirelessly.
2. What does the Xbox 360 cost?
The Xbox 360 can be found at various stores and on various websites for a variety of prices. The price varies depending on whether the Xbox is used or new and how much memory the desired Xbox contains. For the sake of this review I will look at prices on Xbox.com. A brand new Xbox 360 with 4gb of memory (the smallest amount for an Xbox 360) can be purchased for $179.99. A brand new Xbox 360 with 250gb of memory can be purchased for $249.99. A brand new Xbox 360 with 500gb of memory can also be purchased for $249.99 today (which is a steal if you ask me).
3. Competitive Products
Microsoft and the Xbox 360 have a few different competitors. Sony's Playstation 3 (and now Playstation 4) are perhaps the Xbox's most popular competitor. Nintendo's Wii is also a competitive product. I have used each console at least once and the Xbox 360 is my favorite.
4. Personal Experience
I have had an Xbox 360 since the first version had come out when I was in high school. I have since purchased the newest version of the Xbox 360. I have never had any issues with either one of my Xbox's and the games have only gotten better each year. The reason I like the Xbox 360 so much is that it is somewhat affordable compared to the newest consoles that have been released (Xbox One and Playstation 4). I don't play as much video games as I had in the past so the Xbox 360 is great because I don't really have much money invested in it. It is a great console for the casual video game player.
